Common mistakes
- Exceeding one page — for students, one page is the standard.
- Writing duties instead of results — “organized 3 campus events with 200+ attendees” beats “responsible for events”.
- Missing keywords from the job ad — ATS filters literally scan for them; mirror the posting's language.
- Sending a PDF with a photo or fancy fonts in regions where they're not expected — keep it clean and international-safe.

How do I save it as a PDF?
Click Print and choose “Save as PDF” as the destination. The print layout is the resume layout — no headers, footers or controls.
What makes a resume ATS-friendly?
Standard section headings (Education, Experience, Skills), no tables or images for text, and keywords from the job description. The builder's structure follows these rules.
Should I include my GPA?
Include it if it's strong (typically 3.0+/4.0 or equivalent) and you have under ~2 years of experience. Otherwise leave it out.
