Plain-language terms for using StudentKit. If something here ever gets in the way of a student using the product, tell us — we’ll fix the terms.

1. What StudentKit is

StudentKit provides free web-based tools, calculators and utilities for students. The tools are provided for educational and personal use, free of charge, with no account required.

2. Acceptable use

  • You may use all tools for personal, educational use.
  • You may not use the tools to misrepresent academic results (for example, fabricating transcripts).
  • You may not attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
  • You may not scrape or republish tool content at scale without permission.

3. Accuracy & responsibility

We work hard to keep every calculator accurate — formulas are published and unit-tested — but tools are provided “as is” and results are estimates for planning purposes. Official decisions (grades, attendance appeals, visa calculations, loan applications) must always be verified against your institution’s or provider’s official figures. You are responsible for how you use results.

4. No warranty & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StudentKit is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including academic or financial outcomes based on tool results.

5. Content & intellectual property

The StudentKit name, brand and content belong to the StudentKit team. The formulas used are standard academic math (not proprietary). You may link to any tool page freely — actually, please do.

6. Changes to the service

We may add, change or retire tools. Core tools are intended to remain free forever; if a premium tier launches, this policy will be updated with clear terms before anything becomes paid.

7. Accounts (when they arrive)

Optional accounts will be governed by these terms plus the account terms added at launch. You will always be able to delete your account and data.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of this service is established. If you have questions about which jurisdiction applies, or any other matter, contact us via the contact page.
