Cookie Policy

The honest version: StudentKit doesn’t use tracking cookies today — but here’s the full picture.

Last updated: August 9, 2026

1. Do we use cookies?

No. StudentKit does not currently set cookies of any kind — not essential, not functional, and definitely not tracking. Instead of cookies, we use your browser’s local storage for preferences and personalization (theme, favorites, recent tools). Local storage is cleared with your browser’s “clear site data” — the same place cookies are managed.

2. What local storage is used for

  • sk:theme — your light/dark/system theme choice.
  • sk:favorites and sk:recent — your favorited and recently used tools.
  • sk:feedback-queue — feedback you submit that hasn’t synced yet.

3. Third-party cookies

We load no third-party scripts, embeds or widgets, so no third-party cookies are set by this site. External links (for example, to your university) are subject to their own policies.

4. If advertising arrives

If we ever enable advertising, it will follow two rules: ads will not be required to use tools, and we will update this policy before any ad network (which may use cookies) loads. You’ll always be able to use StudentKit without ad cookies.

5. Managing your data

Clear local storage for this site in your browser settings to remove everything we store on your device. No account, no server copy to delete — because there isn’t one.
