The formula
Days remaining
days = due date − today
Computed on calendar days. Negative = overdue; 0 = due today; 1–3 = the danger zone.

- Sorted order: quiz (today) → lab report (tomorrow) → essay (upcoming)
- Work the list top-down — that's your study priority for the week.

Common mistakes
- Forgetting to enter submission times — if your university closes submissions at noon, treat that day as the day before.
- Adding every small task — the tracker works best for real deadlines; a todo list handles errands.
- Ignoring the priority field — when two deadlines collide, priority is what the sort uses to break the tie.
